A group of insurance industry professionals (underwriters, brokers, claims professionals, and risk managers) are in the process of putting together an organization targeting the interests of male insurance professionals of color. If we look at the upper echelons of the insurance industry, we can see that it is comprised of individuals who have been able to build an industry specific network which has helped them (and their families/associates) progress professionally within the current structure. We are looking to bring together our various resources and networks to be able to provide not only ourselves, but also those that come after us with a foundation of professional contacts and opportunities that may be difficult to compile or provide on our own.

We have already held an initial meeting with a small group of insurance industry professionals, to coordinate the approach for a larger meeting.

You are invited to join us for our first general body meeting on july 14, 2016 at 6pm at AON, 199 Water St., NY, NY 10038.

We are very grateful to have the ability to use one of the aon conference rooms for our meeting. Space is limited so please register as soon as possible. We are using this site to make it all easier to keep track of and organize future events.

There is also a similar women’s organization that is being created by a good friend, so if you know any women that would be interested definitely let us know and we'll pass the information along. The future plan would be to have joint events, that address issues of concern to insurance industry professionals of color in general.

Lastly, I think this will be a great opportunity for us to not just grow our own personal network of connections, but also provide a network for those that come after us.
